This year’s new KTM 1290 Adventure S is the cutting-edge evolution of the Austrian dual sport class. Marrying the benefits of a sports-tourer with ergonomics and comfort to deal with any terrain, it’s the ultimate high-performance Adventure bike. The chassis has been overhauled to improve weight distribution and rideability. The steering head has come back by 15 mm and the front section of the engine has been re-located while adding the longer swingarm all of which contributes to more stability under acceleration. The subframe provides a lower seat height without sacrificing durability or practicality. There’s now a new 23-liter, keyless-cap fuel tank. The new seat is two-tiered and adjustable by 20 mm. Also customizable are the handlebars, the new TFT and a windshield that can be moved by 55 mm.
