The Z900 maintains the “Exciting and Easy” concept of its predecessor, while offering the next step in aggressive Z Sugomi styling. A host of advanced new features appear including integrated Riding Modes (combining newly added KTRC and Power modes), new TFT colour instrument screen, Bluetooth smartphone connectivity, all-LED lighting and cleaner emissions. A choice of Full Power or Low Power modes allows riders to set power delivery to suit preference and conditions. Low Power mode limits output to approximately 55% of full power. A host of LED lighting, including the headlamp, position lamps, reg plate lamp and turn signals add to the Z900’s sharper new styling.
In the cockpit the new all-digital TFT colour instrumentation gives the bike a high-tech, high-grade feel. Bluetooth technology is built into the instrument panel which allows riders to connect to their motorcycle wirelessly. The bike also comes with Kawasaki’s traction control system. This is in addition to a selection of riding modes, sport, road and rain. It sits on the latest Dunlop Sportmax Roadsport 2 tyres which contribute to the Z900’s superb handling character. While the Z900 may have a fearsome reputation, this latest incarnation delivers its power in a smoother and more predictable way.
