Japans green giant, Kawasaki, introduced us to learner legal bikes with the Ninja 250 over ten years ago. The bike has now evolved into a new 400cc offering. The new Ninja 400 is the latest new sport model to enter this highly competitive arena. Clad in sharp new styling and delivers greater performance than its predecessor. It does this thanks to an all-new engine and chassis that are more powerful as well as being significantly lighter. But just like the smaller engined 250 and 300 offerings that preceded it, the new model possesses a whole lot more than just high performance.
The new Ninja 400 doesn’t just look good. The new stronger engine offers more performance, the bike is light, handles predictably and has a relaxed, sporty riding position. This makes it both easy to ride and a whole lot of fun. The new bike features ‘Ergo-Fit’. This is an interface system that allows a wide range of riders, of different sizes and abilities, to feel at one with their machine. ABS comes as standard as does the racing technology based assist and slipper clutch. This acts as both a back-torque limiter in addition to being a self-servo mechanism that enables a lighter clutch lever pull.
