Honda’s new Forza 750 resets the Grand Tourer scooter segment. The new machine provides ample high-speed wind protection, loads of rider legroom as well as a low seat height. The under-seat storage space, which easily takes a full-face helmet, even has a USB charging point. As befits such a new bike there is a TFT instrument display which even offers Honda Smartphone Voice Control system linking the rider to their smartphone. Ignition, locking and seat opening is via Smart Key. The power is supplied by a 745cc twin-cylinder engine. There are three default rider modes: rain, standard and sport, in addition to a customisable mode.
Honda Selectable Torque Control offers a level of intervention over 3 levels, while the standard-fit Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) features automatic shifting schedules that link with the riding modes. Its chassis is a tubular steel frame with an aluminium swingarm and 41mm USD forks. Stopping is provided by a set of radially mounted four-piston brake calipers. There is also a Pro-Link rear suspension system and 15-inch/17-inch front/rear wheelset which finish out the well-equipped chassis, and deliver levels of handling that we couldn’t have imagined in scooter form. Commuting has never been this good!
