Available in two options, the Adventure or the trail ready version, the new and bigger CRF 300 is made for the adventurous dual-sport rider. The adventure bikes styling has been taken directly from from the competition-specification HRC CRF450 Rally. Now it adds long-range ability as well as comfort to its off-road performance. This is thanks to a large fuel tank and wind-cheating nose fairing and screen. Some magic numbers have been achieved with the new machine now lighter in weight, with more power and torque from its engine, the CRF300 Rally replaces the 250cc version and promises to be the perfect bike around town, across a desert or around the world.

The people at Honda have taken 4 kilos out of the chassis alone. They have added 2.7 litres of capacity to the bike’s petrol tank. In addition to it being lighter with a greater fuel range they’ve dropped the seat height by 10mm and put rubber inserts into the footpegs as well as raising the ground clearance by a healthy 10mm. The engine is somewhat futureproof with a new euro 5 spec unit which is engaged via a slipper clutch! It produces 20.1 kilowatts of power and 26 nm of torque.
