All The Kit And Clothing In One Place
No trip to Irelands biggest motorcycle show would be complete without a visit to the always well presented Arai stand. The team never fail to put on a good show and this year was no different. There are a number of new designs across the range with paint schemes on the RX7 standing out in particular. The big news is that there is an entirely new helmet on the way.
The Profile-V is a brand new helmet from Arai. The helmet has a fresh, aggressive style and is unique in the range. This helmet has been designed to welcome new riders to the Arai family. It has all the plush comfort, protection and features expected of the brand but also something else. It has been built with easy access in mind when taking it on or off.
Like every Arai the new Profile-V uses a strong outer shell which has been cleverly designed to glance off impact forces. It does this while still maintaining its integrity, working with a softer one-piece multi-density inner liner to absorb and spread any impact energy. It’s been designed around the companies Variable Axis System for a smoother shape while also featuring a reinforcing ‘Hyper Ridge’ that lowers the centre of gravity and flares out 5mm to make putting it on and off that much easier.
Once on it stays comfortable thanks to it being equipped with dual intake vents, brow vents and as well as a three way chin vent plus no fewer than five exhausts. The max vision visor is Pinlock ready and uses Arai’s F1-derived latch mechanism. The semi-removable interior features a perfectly fitting facial contour system as well as a pair of speaker pockets. See the Arai approved Sena comms kits for more on how well these work in a helmet. The optional Pro Shade visor can also be added as can a light or dark tinted version.
