INFO RULES TERMS & CONDITIONS
REGISTRATION
Bikes must be registered at the exhibition and will be issued an identifying number before their participation is confirmed. Bikes must be presented between Thursday 4th March, 7.30am – 7.30pm & Friday 5th March 2021, 7.30am – 10am sharp. Bikes arriving outside these times without prior arrangement of the organisers will be refused entry. Show opens at 2pm on Friday 5th March.
BIKE DISPLAYS
All entrants will be required to provide a brief technical specification of their Competition entered bikes which will be displayed in the AMD zone. No additional display boards, lighting, reflective flooring or other props are permitted to enhance the bike display. Business cards for contact purposes can be placed on or next to the bike.
NUMBER OF BIKES
The organisers may reserve the right to set a limit on the number of bikes any single builder may enter. Please discuss with us in advance, and indicate planned number of bikes on the Official Entry Form.
TERMS & CONDITIONS
All entries are accepted subject to, and with acceptance of, the event terms and conditions. All entries remain provisional until you register your bike at the event itself on the 4th March 2021.
The decision to permit or decline participation is entirely and solely at the discretion of the organisers and no correspondence or dialogue or any other form of communication or explanation for any such decisions will be entered into or provided.
Specifically the organisers reserve the right to deny participation to any builder and motorcycle on the grounds of decency related matters and taste. This includes the use and display of messages, forms of words, images or designs that are considered by the organisers to be unsuitable; and to behaviour or behaviours that the organisers, also at their sole discretion, deem inappropriate.
All bikes must not have any petrol in their tank and must have their battery disconnected (RDS Health & Safety Ruling).
All bikes must remain in the facility until close of show, 7th March 2021 at 6pm.
Where possible, all bikes will be photographed for use in future promotions of the Official AMD World Championship of Custom Bike Building.
Participation in the AMD World Championship of Custom Bike Building does not imply any involvement in or endorsement of any kind whatsoever, by AMD or SDL, of that builder or builders’ company; of his work, of the quality (or otherwise) of that specific motorcycle; or in any other way or of any other kind, of all or any activities (commercial or otherwise) of the individual or business concerned.
Neither SDL nor AMD accept any liabilities whatsoever, however caused, arising from participation. Participation is entirely at the motorcycle owner’s or builder’s own risk. The organisers will, of course, take the steps that it deems appropriate or reasonable to ensure the safety and security of the motorcycle(s) concerned, but can in no way accept liability for any loss or damage arising, of any kind whatsoever.
There will be 24 Hour Security at the Show from 4th February – 8th March up to 12noon.
The winner shall be permitted to use the title of “AMD Irish Custom Bike Building Champion 2021” for a period of no more or less than one year following the announcement of the results for the year concerned. He or she may use this title in all or any of his or her personal or business promotional activities and materials. The winner, after one year, may refer to themselves in a past tense, sense and manner, as have having been the ” AMD Irish Custom Bike Building Champion” for the year concerned.
Participation in the event will constitute acceptance of these and all or any other rules or regulations pertaining to participation in and operation of the event.
