A new addition to the Alpinestars class-leading SMX range, the SMX-S Waterproof is constructed from a durable microfiber that incorporates class-leading performance and protective attributes as well as a breathable and waterproof membrane. Incorporating a waterproof and breathable membrane for high levels of comfort and weather performance, the upper construction offers superb levels of flexibility and comfort. There is now an ergonomic new forefoot streamlining. This enables greater precision on the bike’s controls and for superior, wide-ranging foot profile, fit and comfort. The new, ergonomically optimised TPU shin plate protector is race derived for impact and abrasion resistance.

Meanwhile, lateral TPR-injected ankle support construction offers new levels of protection and stability. The double density ankle protectors are layered under the upper in both lateral and medial side for excellent all-round levels of protection. The new boots’ internal toe box protection is layered under the boots upper for durability, improved feel and performance. There is also a new, dual compound removable anatomic footbed which includes EVA and Lycra for performance, comfort and support. Alpinestars’ new and exclusive compound rubber sole promotes improved feel and grip as well as water dispersion and durability. The replaceable toe slider features new easy no screw fixing concept for quicker and easier replacement.
