The Carole Nash Irish Motorbike and Scooter Show comes to a close
It is with considerable personal sadness that I must inform you that we, as a team, have made a decision to wrap up the Carole Nash Irish Motorbike and Scooter Show, RDS. As such we won’t be running the event, in 2023 or at any time in the future.
It has been a great privilege to be involved in such an important part of our motorcycle community here in Ireland and further afield. I relished my role as the organiser of, what I am sure you will agree, was a much-loved event by the tens of thousands of people who either participated or attended the show which was held in the RDS over the last twenty years.
This event would never have been possible, or indeed such a success, without the support of the distributors, the industry, performers, icons from Joey Dunlop to Giacomo Agostini but most of all – the motorcycle community itself. I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank all of you from the bottom of my heart.
Over the 20 years of the Show, we’ve seen an amazing 300,000 motorcyclists come through our doors. We’ve seen brands being launched to huge success, while we’ve seen others reach an audience that they would, otherwise, never have met.
We’ve seen some of the most brilliant performances from our fire breathers to the stunt riders performing in the RDS. The late and very much missed Chris Pfeiffer, first met Mattie Griffin at the 2004 show when they performed together. And who could ever forget the Purple Helmets, the Isle of Man’s favourite piano playing motorcyclists!
The Angels and Demons Stage Show was a huge favourite. The AMD Championship Competition attracted the very best custom built bikes in the country, many of which went on to win at the AMD World Competition. The team at Ace Café were a significant partner in the show and sponsored prizes for the custom and classic bike owners. The Show Bar was always a great way to catch up with friends and meet new ones!
A final thank you has to go to Carole Nash Insurance who supported us in our endeavours to put on the best possible Show for Ireland’s motorcyclists over the years.
Thank you, once again, for your support and we look forward to seeing you on the road.
